2024 Spring - Girls Lacrosse

Below are details about the upcoming 2024 Spring season for all girls programs.

EARLY REGISTRATION THROUGH 11/24

REGULAR REGISTRATION 11/25-1/7

LATE REGISTRATION 1/8 -

MULTIPLAYER DISCOUNTS:

MULTIPLUS1 If registering a second player;

MULTIPLUS2 if registering a third player;

Special pricing for eligible first time players too.

Grades

Season is open to players in grades 2-12.

Players will be grouped and practice in teams organized by:

Grades 2-6 (novice & beginner)

Grades 5-8 (experienced)

High School

When

Spring season practices are scheduled to begin on Monday, January 8th.

The season will run through the end of April and potentially into early May depending on playoffs and championships for High School

During Spring Break (Mar 11-15) No games scheduled during that week, but could occur on the weekend before or after.

Practices will be at the GVTC Sportsplex

Practice Times

Practices for High School team will be Monday through Thursday, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Practices for Grades 7/ 8 and 5/6 will be twice per week, days TBD 6:30-8:00 PM

Practices for 2-6 (novice and beginner) on Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 PM

If experienced middle school players wish to get extra reps, they are welcome to join the High School team practices.

High School Games

Games for High School will be hosted at San Antonio Christian School, UTSA, Reagan HS and around the San Antonio and Austin area.

High School is scheduled for a pair of weekend games in Houston in February.

Middle School land Youth Games

Games for Middle School will depend upon participation within CapLax or STXYLA.

CapLax games are held in Austin on weekends and are often double-headers.

STXYLA games are within San Antonio.

Costs

Fees for each team listed below are used to cover expenses such as:

Referee Fees
Medics
Coach Stipends
Website
League dues, etc

High School Girls: $750

Girls Grades 5-8: $300

Girls Beginners; Grade 2-6: $150

Earlybird, multi-player discount and first time player incentives are available by code and can be combined.

Payments can be made in lump sum or installment over the season.

Uniforms

High School:

Returning players from Spring will use their same uniform for tournaments.

New players will be issued a uniform and will return it at the end of the season.

Middle School:

Players will be issued a uniform and will return it at the end of the season as needed.

What equipment do I need?

Girls lacrosse requires less gear than boys. Girls need a mouthguard, stick, goggles or women's helmet and cleats. At the very least you need your own mouthguard and cleats. We have sticks and goggles and helmets to borrow. See the Resources tab on the website for more information

2024 Spring - Girls Grades 5-8

Registration for girls programs for the SPRING 2024 season.

Spring is typically league based competitive game season. Participation in league will depend on interest and numbers.

It's always open to new and experienced players.

2024 Spring - Girls Grades 2-6

Program for youth girls or beginners wanting to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse.

Season will focus on skill development and game concepts with the potential for games later in the season.
